Omani visa policy

• The Sultanate of Oman issues several types of visas depending on the purpose and duration of the stay:
• Tourist visa — generally valid for 30 days, extendable.
• Express visa — for urgent short stays.
• Family visit visa — to visit relatives living in Oman.
• Work visa — for people employed in Oman.
• Investor / residence visa — for investors financially involved in the country.
• Student visa — for higher education in Oman.

Visa on arrival

• Nationals of several countries can obtain a visa on arrival in Oman:
• GCC countries: Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates → entry without a visa.
• European Union: most member states.
• Other eligible countries: Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea, United States, United Kingdom.
• 👉 Visa on arrival is generally valid for 30 days and can sometimes be extended.

Omani eVisa

Oman also offers an online eVisa system, open to eligible nationalities. This procedure allows you to apply before departure and save time upon arrival.

Required documents: valid passport, return ticket, proof of accommodation and, in some cases, proof of sufficient funds.
